Causecation (kawz-kay-shun) – the act of traveling with friends and family to participate in advancement efforts, learn new information and display your commitment to furthering a valued cause or issue, all while enjoying the adventures of a traditional vacation.

As you plan your upcoming travels, we invite you to take your own Causecation and pursue your own memorable experiences. We’ve experienced plenty of our own this past summer and throughout the four-decade history of our Annual Convention. The “largest annual family reunion” enables the Down syndrome community to take part in four days of activism and education, along with games, dancing and friendship.

Summer may be over, but it’s not too late to look ahead to your next Causecation. Attend an advocacy day. Participate in a charity walk. Lead a campaign. Take the opportunity to pursue your cause, but have fun along the way!
